A note from Ms. Barb:
I invite you to visit the web site that I started several years ago to give
parents and their children access to the songs that we are singing in music
class and chapel. Unfortunately, I have not updated it recently. However, on
this site you will find numerous songs that are already posted for you.
The site is organized so that you can search various categories for songs,
such as by music class or chapel, by age of the child, by active or quiet
songs, and by unit number. You can also search by song title. Also included
are the chapel and music lesson plans for each unit, as well as other items of
interest (listed under “Music Notes”). For each song, there is a link to the
words and motions.
Just go to “www.missbarb.org” and enter user name “music” and password
“pr3sk00l” (00l is zero zero and lower case “L”). I hope that you will enjoy
this with your children!

Fiesta Covenant Update
We had another successful fundraiser on Saturday, March 7!  Preschool friends and supporters joined together at Santa Rita Cantina for a night of fun, fellowship and fundraising.  It was an amazing event that raised over $16,000. Thank you to each and every family who contributed time, energy and of course funds to help keep our school operating. Covenant is a true non-profit and we rely on every dollar raised to keep our program functioning and to offer enrichment opportunities such as Music and Spanish.  This event was made possible all through the hard work of other Covenant Parent Advisory Team members and Covenant teachers and staff. Thank you to everyone!

Love is in the Air

Happy Valentine's Week!

It seems love is everywhere this week. But this is especially true at Covenant. The children just wrapped up the Bible concept "God Loves Everyone" singing "I Will Be Glad" and "Jesus Loves Me". The new Bible concept is "God Wants Me to Love and Care for Others" and the verse is "Let us love one another." I John 4:7. They will be hearing the story of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) this week and singing "Let Us Love", "Must Be Done in Love" and "Love Each Other"  - lots of LOVE!!!

Most classes will be celebrating Valentine's Day this week with parties at the end of the week. As a reminder, we are a NUT-FREE school so it is extremely important that treats to be shared with your child's class NOT contain any type of nuts. Of course, we encourage other items to exchange such as band-aids, stickers, tattoos, etc. which are always nut-free.
